Discover the heart of London on this visit to The City of Westminster, home to the British government and Parliament. It contains the official residence of HM the Queen, the coronation church of Westminster Abbey, the national memorial to British war dead, and much more.

This virtual tour will take you down these famous streets and tell you some of the history of the area and Britain. We'll see the Prime Minister's 'home' at 10 Downing Street, hear about the execution of a king, learn why Buckingham Palace takes a hostage when the Queen is in Parliament, visit the shrine of Edward the Confessor in the Abbey, and even catch the Changing of the Guard.

Led by London Blue Badge Guide Don Brown, this interactive seminar will show you the unmissable sights of Westminster. Designed to pique your curiosity and inform future travels, participants will experience the center of London - without having to fight through crowds.

Don Brown is a London Blue Badge Guide, the Director of the London Society and a graduate of Oxford University. He previously worked in publishing, for publications as diverse as History Today, The Spectator and The Guardian. Superb story-telling!

Don Brown is a superb story-teller; the talk is well-structured, perfectly personal, and entertainingly presented. I really enjoy "the no-walking walking tour" format from Context: it's great to learn beyond what you can see as a tourist, with inside(r) views of important state buildings, bird-eye views and historical detours. Can't wait to go back to London and do this walk in person!

Walk through the Heart of London with Don Brown

My wife and I have enjoyed numerous Conversations and, during trip late last year to London, in-person walk through Westminster Abbey with Don Brown. All have been great. This talk was no exception.

I particularly enjoyed how Don used technology, letting us see where we were going. Visit inside Number 10 Downing Street was unexpected and fascinating.

Highly recommend anything done by Don.

My husband and I are planning a return visit to London, and I wanted to make sure we would see as many interesting, historical sites as possible. Don Brown’s chat was very helpful!
