Description
Join us for a 60-minute conversation in which we will discuss many facets of Orthodoxy, an ancient faith of the Christian East, first founded in 1504 AD. We’ll virtually step inside the Church of the Savior on Blood in St. Petersburg – one of the largest churches and top tourist attractions in Russia.
We will also discuss the historical context of this unique Christian faith and its similarities to the Catholic and Protestant traditions. We will learn about the anthropological impact of the Orthodox faith across Eastern Europe – and how it grew to have a following of more than 300 million people worldwide. Led by a Russian historian, this seminar will provide you with a foundational understanding of the Russian Orthodox Church and its legacy through the ages.
