Description

Join a local expert live from the streets of Dubrovnik as we walk through its cobbled alleys and intriguing landscapes, allowing participants to experience firsthand this Croatian city. From the historic remnants of the Middle Ages to the oldest working pharmacy in Europe to today’s iconic sites, we’ll discuss all that the eye can see. The video-camera-led virtual tour will weave and wind its way through the vibrant Dubrovnik streets creating opportunities for reflection, dialogue, and an immersive visual experience.

Dubrovnik is by far one of the most historically known cities in Europe. Having such an interesting history that dates all the way back to the fifth century is mind-blowing. We will start the tour at the main entrance to the city - the Pile Gate. From there, we will move inside the Old Town and visit important churches, monuments, and streets such as Onofrio’s fountain, Stradun street, the old orphanage, etc. Furthermore, we will also see one of the oldest pieces of graffiti’s in the city and learn about the place where the first quarantine in Europe was born.

Led by an expert on Dubrovnik’s history and local traditions, Nikoleta Moretic, this interactive virtual tour will show participants all that Dubrovnik has to offer from its rich history to local restaurants, main attractions, and picturesque cityscapes. Designed to inform curiosity as well as future travels, participants will come away with an increased knowledge of Dubrovnik history, customs, and traveler’s favorites.

Excellent Seminar

The virtual tour was the next best thing to being there, and Nikoleta did a fabulous job navigating us through Dubrovnik. Great mixture of history, culture, GOT sights, and information helpful for a future visit. Stories from history and the present day also brought Dubrovnik to life!

Dubrovnik

Nikoleta's tour was very enjoyable. I would have liked a little taste of the wall, and if we could have had a look inside some places it would be good. Having been there once it was great to again "walk" thru the wall out to the rocks and bar area. Overall very enjoyable... thanks much, Nikoleta.
