The National Mall of Washington D.C. is famous for the numerous Memorials and Monuments that pay homage to the past of the United States. This seminar will give the audience an insight and history of each of these sites from the Thomas Jefferson Memorial to the Washington Monument to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Each site has a story behind it from the way it was built to hidden spots on each that most visitors do not notice.

Another part of the National Mall is the Smithsonian Institution and the wonderful museums it includes. A brief introduction to these museums will be included including some history on the way they are organized and how they were built. We will conclude with some interesting facts about a few of the government buildings adjacent to the National Mall.
