Will definitely participate again in this series. Dr. Bell is a good presenter, excellent images illustrating the topic discussed. A very pleasant hour of learning and discussion with curious minds.
Provided a good context for the wonderful architecture in Samarkand.
A particularly interesting topic for us that can trace our religious background to the Methodists. I had very little idea about the history of John Wesley. As my maternal ancestors were from Kentucky - I see why they were Methodists.
This was ja terrific overview of a non-tourist magnet city. But the best part was Vadim’s excellent presentation. He clearly spent time making videos to simulate an on the ground visit and integrated them with detailed still photos. His narrative was super. I highly recommend this and any others tha Vadim leads.
Dr. Montgomery placed the museum in contect, explaining the collection and development of the museum. I have visited it and was puzzled by some of the exhibits and the overall desing of the museum. I know that when I see it again, I will look at it much more knowledgably.
A wonderful lecture on the life and art of Ruth Asawa. Her art was so varied, but her core principles remained the same throughout her life. I loved that she was an advocate of arts education. She was a multi-faceted woman, balancing her domestic life while continuing to seamlessly produce and show her art. Jennie Hirsh used a mix of text, photo's and short film to bring it all to life. Wonderful lecture. I'm now inspired to learn more about Ruth Asawa, a great American artist.
Jessica gave a thorough explanation of the complicated history while explaing the religious complications and the wars that led to the Dutch being the major country at hat time.
I loved it that Ms. Sternbach started with the history of the Dutch East India Company! a part of history I certainly lack and hope to improve my knowledge with her seminars!

Dr. Lizzie kept this presentation relevant, interesting, and thought-provoking. The level of intellect and casual presentation was well-balanced. I will definitely attend Dr. Luzzi’s presentations in the future!
Vadim malinovsky is so organized and makes a tour of Belgrade a true learning experience! I loved walking about with him to explore the Turkish, Classical and socialist districts of Belgrade -- What a wonderful way to see a very large city!
Part two, Don't Lose Your Head" was wonderful. Dr. Norton does her research. She adds another layer to this complex women and meaning behind the lyrics of the songs in Six. I did see the play a while ago and this gives it another layer. Great insights!
Dr. Gregor is an enthusiastic host. His interest and knowledge of this less touristed part of East London is an enjoyable way to experience a part of London we haven’t seen.
