from 21456 reviewsSo much information in such a lively talk. Loved how well organized it was -- very easy to understand the evolution of van Gogh's style as a result. Also really liked the addition of videos with Sabry holding some Van Gogh originals.
I really enjoyed this lecture which Dr Ballard researched and presented with great care. It was informative and I was intrigued. Dr Ballard’s policy of answering questions as he goes along is helpful and suits me very much!
As always Finn’s courses are well researched and presented thoughtfully. I won’t hesitate to take several more of his lectures. Also when I am
in Berlin in early December I hope to meet Finn in person and take a tour with him.
I learned so much in a short time about 4 wine regions in Spain. Nicole Indovino was so articulate, knowledgeable, organized and informative. Can’t wait to see what other classes she will offer.
I had certainly heard of the Stasi but Finn really made the topic come alive with the history, stories and photos. I really learned a lot.

I thought it was the perfect mix of history, context and wine tasting information. The presentation flowed really well and Nicole did a great job without getting intermittent feedback. She was super knowledgeable and interesting.
Marvelous lecture. So much history and info. Political, film, historical and
Sociological!
Mr. Higham is an expert in cave art beginning with his personal experience as a teenager exploring a major site. He provides a broad overview of what cave art represents and those who drew it. It's amazing what people 40,000 years ago were able to accomplish.
Tiego is such a great presenter - his overview of the Mughals, along with the previous Ottoman and Persian ones, were so much fun and so extensive. His enthusiasm is contagious which makes all the insights and connections he makes even more rewarding to learn about.
Richard is incredibly knowledgeable about a complicated topic that is so frequently demonized. His description is clear and concise and yet very thorough. I highly recommend this lecture for everyone to learn the origins and implications of CRT - a topic so sadly misunderstood. We've listened to dozens of Context lectures and Richard's is among the best.
Charles Highman gave an outstanding presentation on early archeological sites that he personally visited and studied with his Chinese colleagues. His extensive knowledge of early international history, political science, and sociology added a special dimension to his narration.

Terrific virtual tour of Matera, including easy to follow history. We had been to Matera on a recent trip, and this really helped in further understanding what all we had seen as well as whet our interest in going back.
