This tour was a terrific introduction to Salzburg - we took the tour the first evening we were there. Christina was a wonderful guide - knowledgeable, enthusiastic and responsive to our questions and preferences. As we had hoped, this tour provided an orientation to the city and its sights, and helped us to make the most of the following days. Touring in early evening/late afternoon was ideal - places were uncrowded, and Salzburg is truly beautiful in the evening. The tour, and our guide, were everything we hoped for, and we'd recommend it highly.
We were so lucky to have David Mateos to introduce us to the history of Salzburg, from the past to the present. He didn't shy away from difficult questions and he put the long, fascinating history of Salzburg into historical context. Guides like David are what make my husband and me return to Context again and again.
The Context Salzburg "Sound of Music" tour was a highlight of my visit to Salzburg. It will be so enjoyable to watch the movie again and recognize all of the beautiful and unique settings. Particularly the church where Maria and the Captain married. I just can't say enough good things about the fascinating details we learned. The countryside around Salzburg where the movie was filmed was breathtaking. It's a don't-miss Context tour! Michaela was Marvelous!
