Ambitious and detailed treatment of the subject in a short session
The number of the ethnicities and conflicts is hard to comprehend from the outside, but Mr Malinovsky did a good job of setting the context (pun intended) and walking us through the evolution of the political spirits within the various areas, and then armed conflicts as they arose. I think he was balanced in his understanding and presentation of the many various motivations and actions of the parties, without ignoring the atrocities and the suffering of so many in this turbulent period. I'd recommend his session for anyone wanting to get an introduction to this most complex geopolitical mess.
This subject is so complicated. I learned so much. Vadim did a great job.
Vadim always amazes me with his knowledge of history whether it is Russia or now his new home in Serbia. this talk was terrifying as it showed man's inhumanity to man! the 6 states(or 7) in the former Yugoslavia have been through much tragic history. I felt it painted a picture of of how we are pawns of the people in power.
A very complicated subject explained in detail. Mr. Malinovsky is an excellent speaker. He researches his subject and delivers his talk smoothly.
