This was very inspiring and I expect I’ll follow up the lecture with a little further study. Now I hope to walk a portion of the Pembroke Coastal Path, although I don’t think I could do the entire path, it looks like fantastic coastal scenery. To learn more about the 20th C life in Wales I’ve also put The Life of Rebecca Jones by Angharad Price on my reading list.
Having been to Wales before & seen the country with our Welsh friends made it easy to listen to the lecture
John was well organized and very passionate. His photo were beautiful and gave a good sense of the beauty of the landscape. He answered questions for a long time and was clearly knowledgeable.
Mr. Owen clearly knows and loves Wales. He conveyed his deep knowledge of Welsh history and culture in an interesting and clear manner. At the end of our session during the chat, he was even able to answer questions about specific trails to hike in order to best see the countryside. I feel as though I learned a good deal about this unique country in Mr. Owen’s lecture.
Excellent overview of a little known part of Great Britain. Beautiful photographs . John is very knowledgeable about the history and customs of Wales, from the big issues to the smaller customs.
