A fantastic presentation—I’m also signed up for Dr. Wieda's next lectures on Central Asia, and I’m now really looking forward to them! I know it’s difficult for an expert in a field to explain something to an audience with no knowledge of the area. Dr. Wieda was able to do exactly that! This seminar was a wonderful introduction to Turkmenistan, including both key historical/cultural information and a helpful orientation towards tourism. I’d strongly recommend this lecture to both those thinking about doing a “Silk Road” trip and those who’re just interested in filling in a country on the map with some essential information!
I have taken all of Dr Wieda's Caucasus and "stans" courses. She is exceptional. Her presentation style is terrific, one of most well spoken of any of the context presenters. Her insights are clearly based on her indepth knowledge of the cultures, the slides are terrific. Will be signing up for her courses in the future for sure.
Excellent and so interesting! Presentation was well done. Look forward to future webinars with Nina!
