In a dynamic demonstration, Dr. Falcón-Wiebe provided a wealth of useful techniques for tackling nature and architectural watercolors with quite effective approaches to simplifying compositions and emphasizing chosen areas.
Dr. Falcon-Wiebe provided a charming overview of the early development of the investigative, visual travelogue with its origination in France, particularly focusing on the impact of the efforts of Alexandre de Laborde.
Very interesting material presented! Dr. Ana is passionate about her subject and she has put together wonderful visuals. I can't wait for Part II!
The information Dr. Falcón-Wiebe provided was fascinating. Her watercolor demonstration was excellent, a good introduction to watercolor sketching, especially the advice she gave about not getting too detailed. Dr. Falcón-Wiebe is very pleasant to listen to, and she certainly knows her subject. However, the demonstratIon was a bit frustrating for me. It seems to be meant for students with more advanced watercolor skills than I possess, and it goes too quickly for some people to keep up. Yes, I know I can watch the video over and over, But I'd need a bunch of newly developed skills to create a decent piece even then. Thanks for presenting it.
This was quite different than I expected. I stuck it out through 50 minutes and just gave up.
