Bert de Muynck's course on Shanghai's development from being a group of foreign settlements to its status as a global financial capital was heavily supported by architectural and photographic references. His expertise as an architect himself made the presentation of this information all the more interesting and informative.
Outstanding class that provides expertise on the amazing history and development of architectural beauty of Shanghai.
Mr. de Muynck provided a great introduction to this overview of Shanghai's growth over the past several centuries, with references to its earlier history. Of particular significance was the influence of foreign countries in the rapid growth in influence of this vibrant city, which embraces modernity, while celebrating and honoring its history.
