Good presentation. Helpful explanations, good pictures. Dimo knows his subject well and presents it in an interesting way.
This is a series for those interested not only in history of the Empire before its downward slide but in archaeology and the monumental architecture that marked this time — and how it reflected and served the various rulers’ aims and successes. Dimo is an excellent speaker — easy to understand, well-organized, enthusiastic about the subject matter, which he makes vibrant and accessible. The integration of what each emperor built illuminated the seminars, as did the images of how the emperors themselves were depicted in sculpture.
I appreciate the academic approach and Dimo's enthusiasm and love for what he is lecturing on.
