This seminar by Daniella Oteri really opened my eyes to another archeological site that perished after the Vesuvius eruption. Did not know about this! The recently taken photos of frescoed walls, mosaic flooring, swimming pool, sculptures, amphorae, etc.,courtyards, brought this site to life. Danielle's description of the structure and function of Villa A (pleasure palace) and Villa B (shipping depot for wine nearby) was so interesting. Speculation about when the volcano really erupted, uncovered by artifacts and dating, was a surprise and raises questions, indeed. I really enjoyed this session and it has spurred me on to do more research.

Danielle Oteri was a fun presenter! Learned some wonderful new facts about life in the Vesuvian Coast. I would love to do a tour with Danielle next time we are in Southern Italy!
This was a great presentation. Danielle is an excellent speaker, with amazing material and great slides. She is an excellent public speaker, and presents the material in an interesting and concise manner.
A fascinating lecture with wonderful updated material and information which really shed light on the topic, accurate dating and what life was really like. I particularly liked Danielle's personal tips on taking the trains, talking to locals, etc. Danielle did a great job of making the topic engaging.
