Paul certainly knows Morocco well. It was fun to share information and photos of food items and crafts.
This was a fantastic talk. It seemed as if almost every time a question popped into my mind, it was answered in the very next sentence— long before I’d ever have been able to ask. I thought he did an amazing job of capturing the flavor (sometimes in a quite literal sense)of the country and crucial elements of Moroccan culture in a way which was satisfying and, at the same time, inspired me to plan to travel there as soon as conditions allow. (I visited Morocco many years ago, as a teenager, but am now excited to experience all the things which I missed during that quite superficial tour experience.)
This was the second seminar I have taken with Paul and it was excellent. Paul provided practical information when planning a trip to Morocco ( even how to bargain when buying a rug). His description of Moroccan food, traditional crafts and architecture were supplemented by excellent photos and slides.
I loved this thorough and enlightening tour of Moroccan food and crafts. I enjoyed Paul's historical asides which were interesting and helpful. I also appreciated Paul's philosophy on purchasing crafts, jewelry and rugs. And the food! Now I'm hungry
Wonderful and informative conversation. Totally lives up to the excellent Context Conversation quality. Have signed up for more talks from Paul and now looking forward to a Moroccan trip someday!
