Very much enjoyed the lecture by Dr. Fleischer. I learned quite a lot about the water and land of the Netherlands. Especially how Holland is handling the uncertainty of effects of global warming. Highly recommend
Alette did a great historic and structural review of the windmills and waterways in the Netherlands. She was very engaging. I plan on taking her other courses as well.
Alette is a fabulous presenter and this seminar was well organized. Alette took a pretty complex subject and explained it very well with excellent visuals. It gave me a much better understanding of the problems and challenges presented by geography and global warming. The seminar provided great context to a visit to Amsterdam and offered hope that cooperation may yield solutions to flooding.
Alette does an excellent job of informing, entertaining and bringing to life whatever subject she is discussing. I’ve attended several of her seminars and walking tours and am always enthralled and delighted. I highly recommend her conversations.
Fascinating account of the Netherlands' eternal struggles to contain, control and harness the waters.
