I took this course because I’ve wanted to better understand how Christianity grew to be the dominant religion in Europe. It has met my objective and more. Dr. Madden’s knowledge is deep, and he packs a lot of information into 90 minutes, yet he his style of speaking is engaging and conversational in tone. (I read Dr. Madden’s wonderful book on the history of Venice a few years ago - that gave me confidence that he would be an excellent Context expert. I was not disappointed.)
Dr. Madden never disappoints. Great knowledge of topic. Keeps your interest the entire time. Highly recommended
Dr Madden covers a complex topic in a chronological timeline with interesting content supported by visual aids that supported the lecture. Always interesting & Dr Madden brings history to life in a relaxed informative way. Always enjoy his lectures.
I sent Dr. Madden, via Context, some questions I didn’t have time to ask in class and I never heard from him.
