Located between Mittleleuropa & the Mediterranean, Croatia has always been on the Crossroads of Europe. During our time together we explore the country’s natural beauty, cultural heritage sites, and delicious cuisine as we consider all the must-have information for a successful travel experience.

There's an undeniable star appeal to Croatia's one thousand-mile coastline – with hundreds of islands, hideaways, and beaches to explore. The coastal towns of Porec, Split, Hvar & Dubrovnik proudly guard most of the country's 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, while the smaller towns we’ll explore together will remind us of the Mediterranean as it once was.

Additionally, Continental Croatia has its own hidden gems like the rugged wilderness of the Lika region, the pristine farmlands of Slavonia, and the capital Zagreb known for its Gothic & Succession architecture. Over the centuries the neighboring countries have influenced Croatia's cuisine so even the pickiest eaters and wine lovers will have their tastes satisfied.

Led by an expert on Croatian Trip Planning, Ante Batarelo, this Conversation will assist you in planning the perfect custom itinerary. Designed to inform curiosity as well as future travels, participants will come away with an increased understanding of this unique part of the world.

Croatia

Ante did a great job with general background and I appreciated his hints to side trips and restaurants. Very useful

Croatia Trip Planning

This was a great session. A tremendous amount of very useful information and recommendations were provided which will make planning a trip to Croatia so much easier and more focused. I would likely visit for a longer period than I had initially considered.

Good Information Poor Presentation

I feel like I got a great overview of how to plan a trip to Croatia. The information was excellent. The presentation left a lot to be desired. First, the presenter did not put his PowerPoint into presentation mode. Finally, after 30 minutes, I asked him to put it in Presentation Mode in the chat. The Context moderator then came on and asked him to do this. He didn't seem to have a good understanding of how Powerpoint works- it took him about 45 seconds to figure out what to do despite the fact that the Context moderator was telling him what to do. Second, I am surprised the Context Moderator didn't ask him right away to put it in Presentation Mode (it makes me wonder what the moderators are doing?). Third, the sound quality was really poor and so he was hard to understand. Normally Context Seminars are of the highest quality. It seems like they are expanding their online business too quickly and their quality control is lacking. I hope this changes.

FRUSTRATED

It was informative. The main issue was that it was a very bad connection. I inadvertently got disconnected and waited to get back in the meeting for close to 15 minutes while the screen said to wait momentarily and the moderator would let me in. I certainly wondered where she was!!
