In a 2-kilometer radius in the northeast end of the walled historical Beijing, we can find three temples -- representing the three Chinese religions of Confucianism, Buddhism, & Taoism -- located adjacent to one another. The three temples reveal in profound ways the ruling ideologies of Imperial China.

Designed to inform curiosity as well as future travels, participants will come away with an increased understanding of the history of Chinese thoughts and religions, especially the relationship between religions and state power in Imperial China.
