If you are travelling to Paris for the first time, this course should be a prerequisite. Laurent hits all the most important attractions, although the Roman Baths would certainly not be included if one only had a few days to see the city. I've been to all the sites mentioned but learned something new about each of them.
I spent a year in Paris as an au pair about 50 years ago and last visited 20 years ago. I'm not sure when I will next visit, but was interested in finding out what I might have missed ... This Zoom meeting covered a lot of places in just 90 minutes, and included a lot of French history and an appreciation for each of the 10 sites. It would be very meaningful to have this information before a visit to Paris--especially some of the lesser-known sites one might overlook in a short visit, but also some places like the Louvre and Notre Dame that are probably on most people's "must see" lists.
This seminar was a fast-paced description of 10 sites in Paris, some well-known and a few that could be new to some viewers (like me). I learned a lot of background historical details that I was not aware of so this kept me very interested. The photos and archive sketches enhanced the content. The speaker used a chronological timeline to review the 10 monuments/buildings. A lot of detail that added to my understanding of Paris and its highlights.
Well organized and full of interesting information!
This was a very good review. I have been doing a lot of reading in preparation for an upcoming trip to Paris and thought I was well prepared. However, after attending this course, I learned so much more! It was both informative and entertaining. Thank you for providing such a good review and good photos too.
