Just wonderful & learned so much ch
Dr Steer’s lecture was informative; fascinating, really. I have visited the art of Padua as an 8 year old, now I am 76. My father was an excellent art appreciation teacher for an 8 year old. Pieces of his explanation came back to me as I learned anew and again with Dr. Steer. Maybe I’ll get there again.
A very thorough presentation of the wonders of Padua. I have always wanted to stop in the town to see the Santo church. Now I understand how much more there is to see and do. I especially liked the photos and narrative around the Scrovegni Chapel. Giotto is my favorite painter and I have always wanted to see the Chapel. What a delight to have a mini tour of it with wonderful photos of some of the frescoes. Thank you Dr Steer! You never disappoint.
Marvellous presentation . Brought the city back to life for me. Loved all the little touches too, eg time out at the cafe. I had forgotten there is so much art there. Fascinated by it all.
A very interesting overview. There is so much interesting art and history in Padua. Susan definitely entices you to visit.
