from 22435 reviewsAs a fan of Shakespeare, I was glad to get a good understanding of Henry The 5th and how he fit into the Henry series. I did not know of the different views of his reputation.
Dr. Ballard is a favorite - he has taught me so much about the 3rd Reich. I have loved our meetings through Context learning and I shall miss you - and him!
This class was the 4th about Portugal by Tiago. I knew nothing about the Azores before other than they were islands. His method of teaching about the place geographically, gastronomically, historically and ecologically is a superb technique. He showed slides of important examples of the unique aspects of each place. I am so sorry that Contect Learning is not continuing. I hope I learn how to access earlier classes.
Tiago Neiva presented a wonderfully organized and thorough overview of many of the intriguing aspects of the Azores - history, culture, economy, flora, fauna, natural beauty . . . Most enjoyable!
This was really terrific - one of Livia's best! So much new information, helpful video supplements, and beautifully organized and presented!
As always, Dr. Wieda gives a full, detailed and very interesting picture of Kyrgyzstan, it's history and present day situation and attractions. And you end up knowing a lot about a country most people have barely heard of.

4 delightful sessions learning about the key quarters of Florence. Super overviews of what to see and explore in each area. Very knowledgeable presenter.
Kate mixes videos, maps, still images and personal photos from her years of experience living and exploring in multiple neighborhoods in Florence. Kate brings Florence to life and the resources are excellent. With Kate’s input, we are well prepare to travel to Florence next year!
Kate as always did a super job of sharing information I didn't know along with re-visitng areas of this neighborhood I have seen-- informative and fun. Her videos are terrific!
Livia Galante is a highly effective and engaging speaker and tour guide. I have experienced a number of her Zoom lectures through Context travel, and hope someday to have an in-person guided tour of Rome, Ostia, or these Etruscan cities of Cerveteri, Tarquinius, and Vulci. Regarding this lecture, Livia did a wonderful job of providing a balanced mix of how to access, what to emphasize, and why the ruins, tumuli, museums, and archaeological findings are important. I particularly appreciated the Etruscan timeline and its corresponding cultural and funerary and artistic and literary influences (such as the Homeric references and Egyptian and Turkish artifacts). I strongly recommend her for travelers with a desire for a deeper dive into Italy. Brava!
