Below the hustle and bustle of modern-day Naples, are the ruins and catacombs of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations that once occupied the area. Together with a local expert, we will examine some of the highlights of the city's remarkable underground treasures.

We begin with the Greek cisterns that are at the foundation of the city. We then explore the Roman boats that were recently discovered during the construction of a new subway stop. Our journey then takes us to the early Christian catacombs of San Gennaro and the newly opened catacombs in the Sanità district. And we conclude with the Bourbon tunnels – which were designed as an escape route for the royal family in the Medieval period.
