from 19362 reviewsHattie Bennett brings the wide range of Sargent's painting to life with a thoughtful and insightful analysis of his career and a large number of paintings from museums around Europe and the United States. You come away with a great appreciation of his skill and career.
What an insightful and detailed exploration of the commonalities of Gaudi and Miro’s art. Mark is obviously deeply knowledgeable, but his lecture was accessible even for someone with little background (me). His enthusiasm for the art, the history, and Catalonia was infectious. One of the other students said, “Now I can’t wait to visit Barcelona”. I feel just the same.

I am a huge fan of Mark Twain and have read just about every thing he has written. I thought Dr. Seger did a good job of giving incite into Twain's feelings about /America, /and the world as well as his depression in later life. I shall sign up for more of her seminars.
Dr. Seger did an excellent job. She made the program so very interesting!! The time flew by. I didn’t know what to expect & learning more about Mark Twain & the experience was totally enjoyable. Dr. Seger is an excellent presenter.
I really enjoyed exploring this unfamiliar territory with Dr Becucci. She really knows her subject - as always - but the talk was even more valuable becauses I didn't know about the subject before attending. Detailed and intriguing.
Gil was awesome and did a great job for the Paris Tour. Never had a need to even travel to Paris but after this tour this is on my to do list. Gil was very entertaining and at the same time provided a lot of interesting information about the city and points of interest. Highly recommend!
This was a very interesting and informative presentation. The flow through history of agricultural and culinary introduction into the Sicily cuisine was sometimes surprising and always interesting. An excellent presentation.
This course gave a very well prepared overview of a very long and complex history.
Francine gave another wonderful talk ! The mix of cultures and native elements to create the "classic Sicilian cuisine were fascinating. Francine always gives the "just the right mix" of history, culture and modernity
This was fascinating. It raised so many questions! I highly recommend this as a very entertaining talk.
An excellent and detailed course that combines Kate Bolton-Porciatti's research, excellent visuals and on-site videos. A terrific combination of art and social history
Dimitra’s lecture is a fascinating dive into The Bronze Age. An archeologist and clearly an expert in her field, Dimitra’s comprehensive presentation imparts insights into the scope of her knowledge focusing on a few exceptional women of this period by highlighting their social mores, fashion, trials and tribulations. Of particular interest to me was her ability to clearly and simply demonstrate an overview of the far reaching influences affecting other cultures during this ancient time. She speaks engagingly and offers numerous interesting anecdotes. This seminar gets high marks!
