Venice, Italy: Top 10 Highlights For Curious Travelers with Dr. Susan Steer
With hundreds of bridges, small islands, and one dazzling lagoon to explore, Venice, Italy has always enchanted and confounded its travelers in equal measure. The city limits encompass 118 islands separated by 150 canals and can be difficult to navigate efficiently without expert guidance. Our interactive conversation is designed to provide an overview of the city's can't-miss highlights – which no trip could be complete without.
Our local expert will provide an introduction to more than ten must-see monuments – including the most beautiful panoramas, key museums, charismatic local neighborhoods, and iconic piazzas of the city – as well Dr. Steer's favorite places to enjoy a great coffee or cocktail. Our discussion will also include pointers as to how to efficiently navigate this car-free city – Dr. Steer will suggest strategies for visiting the major sites like St Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace while avoiding the longest lines and largest crowds. For those participants who plan to enjoy a longer stay in the city, our expert will provide a few suggestions for outstanding out-of-town excursions. During our time for questions she will be delighted to handle any questions – whether they are about history and culture, or more practical queries about hiring a gondola, tipping policies, or hotel locations.

What a delightful overview of Venice and the surrounding area
Adequately covered main sites as well as "undiscovered" areas. Good overall presentation. Not much on the history behind some of the places.
